Secondary 1 Online Registration via Parents Gateway

We are pleased to inform you that Secondary 1 Registration will be conducted online. You do not need to report to school. Please complete the online registration by following the steps below:

1.      Download the Parents Gateway mobile application from the Apple App Store or from Google Play.

2.       Login to Parents Gateway from 8.30am onwards on 21 December 2023.

3.       There will be a notification about Secondary 1 Online Registration. Within the notification, there is a link to an online form.

4.       To complete the Secondary 1 Registration process, please fill in the online form by 22 December 2023, 5.00pm.

Sec 1 Orientation T-Shirt

As part of the 2024 Secondary 1 Orientation programme, all students will receive one Orientation T-shirt. 

1.       Please indicate the T-shirt size via the Sec 1 registration form in the Parents Gateway by 22 December 2023, 5.00pm.

2.       Do note that no payment is required. The orientation T-shirt will be distributed to students on the first day of school.

Students Eligible to Offer SBB (Subject Based Banding) Subjects 

Students who are eligible to offer SBB subjects will receive a notification and the SBB Offer Letter via Parents Gateway by 21 December 2023.

1.       Please use the Online Acceptance Form in the Parents Gateway

notification to indicate your child’s acceptance of the SBB offer.

2.       Please adhere to the deadline as stated in the offer letter.

3.       For clarifications, please contact the General Office at 62655980.

Students Eligible to Offer HMT (Higher Mother Tongue)

Students who are eligible to offer HMT will receive a notification and the HMT Offer Letter via Parents Gateway by 21 December 2023.

1.       Please use the Online Acceptance Form in the Parents Gateway notification to indicate your child’s acceptance of the HMT offer.

2.       Please adhere to the deadline as stated in the offer letter.

3.       For clarifications, please contact the General Office at 62655980. 

Students Eligible for a Third Language

Students who are eligible to take up a Third Language will receive a notification and the Third Language Offer Letter via Parents Gateway by 21 December 2023.

1.       Please refer to the Offer Letter for further instructions on how to accept the offer.

Financial Assistance Scheme

Students who wish to apply for FAS may do so via the following platforms:

a. online FAS application via the link below

- eFAS internet link (https://go.gov.sg/moe-efas)

  - the link can also be found in the Parents Gateway’s services section.

b. collect the hardcopy application form from the General Office or download the FAS application form here.

 For hardcopy application Form

1.       Please submit the completed application form and the required supporting documents to the General Office by 22 December 2023 so that the school can process your application on the spot.

2.       The FAS letter can be used to purchase the school uniform and textbooks on the same day.

3.       Students who have already applied for FAS through their primary schools will need to collect the new FAS letter from the General Office.

4.       The FAS letter is required for the purchase of the school uniform and textbooks.

Purchase of School Textbooks

The school textbooks can be purchased online at http://www.pacificbookstores.com/ and payment can be made by VISA, Mastercard, Debit Card or PayNow.

 1.       If you order online and select home delivery, there will be a delivery charge of $14.60.

2.       If you order online and select self-collect from the school, there will be no extra charge. You will need to come down to school from 27 December to 28 December 2023 to collect the textbooks.

-          The website will prompt you to select a self-collect date and time.

-          Please keep to the appointment date and time to minimize over-crowding. Do note that parking may be limited. You may wish to park at the public carparks near the school instead.

Purchase of School Uniform

The full school uniform, PE T-shirt and PE shorts can be purchased from 21 December 2023 onwards.

1.       The school uniform can be purchased online at  https://finestuniform.com/collections/jurong-secondary-school and payment can be by VISA, Mastercard or Debit Card.

-          Please note that there will be a delivery charge of $6.

-          The passcode for logging onto the website is JURONG22g.

-          Order must be made by 22 December 2023

2.       JSS House T Shirt will be based on the class allocation. Do note that the House T Shirt will be distributed to students on the first day of school if orders and payment have been made.

3.       For walk-in purchase, please note that the uniform supplier will be in school on the following days and timing:

Appeal For Transfer After S1 Posting

Medical Appeal Exercise (MAE)

Students with serious medical conditions (e.g. chronic heart conditions, kidney problems) or severe physical Impairments (e.g. those requiring permanent use of a wheelchair) may apply for transfer as part of the Medical Appeal Exercise (MAE). Applicants will need to provide documentation from a certified medical professional in order to apply. Applications must be made in person at Jurong Secondary School on 21 Dec 2023, from 0830 to 1200. No applications will be accepted beyond this time frame.

School Transfer (Non-Medical)

All requests for school transfers into Jurong Secondary School should be submitted online via this link https://go.gov.sg/sec1-transfer-in-appeal

All applications must be submitted by 12pm, 28 December 2023.
